Would Botox alone fix my forehead and smile lines, and indents near my eyes and nose? Or do I need filler as well?

Botox will reduce the appearance of dynamic wrinkles (lines that show up with muscle movement) around the forehead and eyes. Fillers are best used in areas of volume depletion such as the mid face, tear troughs and nasolabial folds. This can restore volume to the upper and mid face, creating a more youthful contour. Make sure to see an experienced, board-certified injector.

Clinical Context

Botox works on muscle-driven wrinkles, such as forehead lines and crow's feet, by temporarily relaxing the muscles that create them, with results generally lasting three to four months. Filler is used for volume loss, like hollows near the eyes or folds near the nose, by adding structure under the skin. Because skin near the eyes and nose is thin and close to blood vessels, filler in these areas should be done by an experienced injector to minimize risks like lumps or vascular complications.
