Would fillers and Botox aid me in giving my face a more slimmed down appearance?

Yes, Botox can help to slim the lower face if the face is widened due to masseter hypertrophy. The masseters are the chewing muscles and an in-person evaluation would be required to determine whether or not you would be a good candidate. If there is minimal masseter activity, it's possible the fullness you're noticing is from the cheeks instead of the muscle, which is along the jawline. In that case, you might be a good candidate for buccal fat removal. As always, it's recommended to see a board-certified plastic surgeon and/or injector.

Clinical Context

Facial width can come from a few different sources that look similar in photos. Masseter hypertrophy widens the jaw from muscle bulk, most noticeable when clenching. Buccal fat sits lower in the cheek, closer to the jawline, and doesn't change with clenching. Jawbone width itself is skeletal and isn't changed by Botox or fat removal. Because photo angle and lighting can make any of these look alike, an in-person exam is the most reliable way to tell them apart.
