Would I benefit from Botox in the jaw area, if so do, I need get in the temple too?

Botox treatment is considered off-label for the masseters but not an uncommon treatment area. Botox is the temples is a less common treatment and may not make a major aesthetic difference. It would be a good idea to consult with an experienced injector to also examine the muscle bulk to ensure that the appearance of the jawline is due to muscle hypertrophy and not other causes (e.g. bone structure/alignment). The results take a few weeks to see results and typically requires more than one treatment. Consistent treatment is recommended to achieve and maintain muscle atrophy.

Clinical Context

Masseter Botox is commonly used to slim a square jawline caused by muscle bulk rather than bone structure. The temples are treated much less often, since temporal hollowing can already be present, and weakening that muscle further may worsen hollowing rather than improve jaw shape. An experienced injector can assess your muscle patterns to determine whether temple treatment would add benefit or simply add unnecessary cost.
