Previous Liposuction Interfere with Brazilian Butt Lift?
Previous liposuction can have two implications for future liposuction and fat transfer to your buttocks. First: Liposuction will cause some degree of scar in the treated areas. This can make harvesting fat more difficult. Second: If you have had liposuction in the area of the planned fat transfer (the buttock in this case) it may be more difficult to get a smooth contour. Clinical Context
Fat grafting removes fat cells and re-injects them in small amounts so they can reconnect to a blood supply and survive. Scar tissue from earlier liposuction is firmer than normal fat, so it can be harder to harvest smoothly and may affect how evenly new fat settles into treated areas. This is why surgeons carefully evaluate previously treated regions before planning a fat transfer.
