Benefites and Side Effects of Radiesse Vs Juvederm?

Juvederm is a hyaluronic acid based gel filler that tends to be softer and more malleable. It can be dissolved with hyaluronidase if necessary. Radiesse is a calcium hydroxylapatite filler. While it may be thicker and more prone to lumps, if injected at the right depth, it can offer great results, but it cannot be injected into the lips or the under eye area. Radiesse is not reversible. It is always best to have a consultation in order to determine which products will best address your needs.

Clinical Context

Juvederm is a hyaluronic acid gel that draws in water, creating volume right away. Radiesse contains calcium hydroxylapatite particles suspended in a carrier gel; after injection, the gel is absorbed and the particles remain, encouraging your body to build new collagen around them for gradual, longer-lasting support. Because Radiesse works by stimulating tissue rather than adding water, it tends to feel firmer and last longer, but unlike Juvederm, it cannot be dissolved with hyaluronidase if you're unhappy with results.
