Could You Use Latisse for Growing Eyebrows As Well?

There are numerous reports of people using Latisse on the eyebrows with success. It has not been looked at by the FDA and there really isn't any data about #1 whether this works and #2 whether it is safe.

Latisse works by extending the growth phase of hair follicles, which is why it grows lashes over several weeks of nightly use. The brow skin is different from the eyelid margin, so how it absorbs and behaves there isn't well studied. If you try it off-label, apply it carefully and only where you want hair, since it can cause stray hair growth or skin darkening if it spreads beyond the intended area. Give it a few months to judge any effect, and stop and check with your doctor if you notice unexpected color changes or irritation.

Clinical Context

Latisse is FDA-approved only for eyelashes, so there's no official guidance on using it around the eyebrows. Skin near the brow differs from the eyelid margin, and applying it off-label could cause hair growth in unintended areas, skin darkening, or irritation. Because this use hasn't been formally studied, the risks and how they might appear on brow skin aren't well defined. Anyone considering this should discuss it with their doctor and watch closely for unexpected changes in skin color or hair growth outside the treated area.
