Did I get too much filler?
Without an exam it is hard to say for certain, but give it a full two weeks before deciding whether you have too much filler. Juvederm and other hyaluronic acid fillers pull in water, so the treated area often looks fuller or puffier in the first days than it will once swelling resolves. That extra fullness can look great in the lips but is less forgiving under the eyes, where the skin is thin and any excess product or fluid shows more readily. If after two weeks the area still looks overfilled or uneven, see your injector to discuss dissolving some of the product with hyaluronidase. A consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon or experienced injector, ideally with photos in hand, can give you a clearer read on whether this is normal post-injection swelling or truly too much volume.
Clinical Context
Early swelling after filler is normal and can look more noticeable in delicate areas like under the eyes, where the skin is thin and any extra fluid is easy to see. As swelling settles, the gel integrates with surrounding tissue and usually smooths out over a few weeks. If the area still looks uneven, firm, or lumpy after that point, have your injector take a look — this can sometimes be adjusted with massage or dissolved with hyaluronidase.
