How Long Does a Bottle of Latisse Last?

A 3ml bottle of Latisse generally lasts about 30 days when used with the brushes provided when purchased. Some patients use a thin eyeliner brush that can better conserve the product and can therefore make it last about 6 weeks. The issue with using a single brush as opposed to a new brush with every application to each eye is the risk of contamination. If you decide to use a different brush and use it for both eyes, just make sure the brush is clean prior to application and between applications to each eye.

Clinical Context

Latisse (bimatoprost 0.03%) is FDA-approved for thinning eyelashes and is applied once daily along the base of the upper eyelid only, never the lower lid. It should be applied with a clean applicator to avoid contaminating the solution or the eye. Effects are not permanent — lashes gradually return to their original length and thickness if you stop using it. Possible side effects include eye redness, itching, and gradual darkening of the eyelid skin or iris, which in rare cases can be permanent.
