How Many Cc's Are in a Juvederm Syringe?

There is 1cc or 1mL of product in a syringe of Juvederm, which is much less than 2 tablespoons. Although this sounds like a small amount, it tends to fill areas with volume deficits nicely and the amount you will need can be determined by your injector.

The reason such a small volume can make a visible difference is that Juvederm is a hyaluronic acid gel that attracts and holds water, so it adds structure and lift beyond its actual physical size. Most areas, like lips or nasolabial folds, need somewhere between half a syringe and two syringes for a noticeable, natural result. You will usually see the full effect within a few days as any initial swelling settles. If you notice unusual pain, firmness, or color changes after treatment, let your injector know so they can evaluate you.

Clinical Context

Juvederm comes in different formulations designed for specific areas, like lips, cheeks, or nasolabial folds, each with different thickness and lifting capacity. The number of syringes needed depends on your anatomy, the area treated, and your desired result. Your injector will assess your face in person and recommend a plan tailored to you, which may involve one syringe or several across multiple areas.
