Juvederm XC plus lip filler caused uneven top lip. Should I get lip filler dissolved?
If you are completely healed and still unhappy with your final results, I recommend having the areas of concern dissolved with hyaluronidase and then either trying a different technique or seeing another experienced injector.
Keep in mind that most lips have some natural asymmetry before filler, and adding volume can make those small differences more noticeable rather than causing them. Hyaluronidase works by breaking down the hyaluronic acid in the filler, and you'll usually notice softening within a day or two, though it can take a bit longer to fully resolve. It's a safe option in experienced hands, but as with any injection there's a small risk of bruising or allergic reaction, so mention any prior reactions at your consultation. Once things settle, discuss with your injector what technique adjustments might give you a more even result next time.
Clinical Context
Lips are rarely perfectly even before filler, and added volume can make small natural asymmetries more noticeable. Hyaluronidase is an enzyme that breaks down hyaluronic acid fillers like Juvederm XC; effects are often seen within a day or two, though full resolution can take longer. It's generally safe when given by an experienced injector, but like any injection it carries some risk of allergic reaction or bruising. How a redo turns out depends on injector technique and how your own tissue heals.
