Why Can't I Apply Latisse to Lower Lid or Eyebrows?
Bimatoprost is a prescription drug, not a cosmetic, and using more product or applying it more often doesn't speed up results — it just raises the risk of side effects. Stick to the approved technique, and check with a board-certified plastic surgeon or dermatologist if you want fuller brows addressed differently.
Clinical Context
Lashes grow in cycles, alternating active growth and rest. Latisse works by keeping hairs in the growth phase longer, which is why results build gradually over weeks rather than appearing overnight. Eyebrow and lower-lid skin are thinner and more sensitive than the upper lid, so product that reaches them is more likely to cause irritation or skin darkening. Because these areas haven't been studied for bimatoprost use, doctors don't know how hair growth or side effects would differ there.
