Will I see results with 1 vial of Kybella?

1 vial will give a subtle improvement but I think you will also be disappointed with the overall impact of the result on your profile. Most patients typically use 2-3 vials per treatment; however it doesn't seem like you have a significant amount of submental fullness so you may want to consider a different route. I would suggest a combination of chin and jawline filler to elongate and define the appearance of the jawline. Ultimately this will likely cost more than $500 as multiple syringes are required for the best aesthetic outcome. Always make sure to consult with an experienced, board-certified provider.

Clinical Context

Kybella (deoxycholic acid) breaks down fat cells under the chin; the body then gradually clears that fat over several weeks, so results build slowly rather than appearing right away. Most patients need more than one vial per visit, and often more than one visit spaced weeks apart, to see noticeable contouring. How many vials and sessions are right depends on how much fullness is there to begin with — an in-person exam is the best way to know if Kybella, filler, or both make sense.
